The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled on an issue presented before the approval of the new law.

Community regulations require Spain to have mechanisms to force companies to effectively control the working day, in accordance with the legal reform approved by the Spanish Government and which has been in operation since May 12, 2019.

According to the newspaper, the court indicates that the states "must impose on employers the obligation to implement an objective, reliable and accessible system that allows computing the daily workday performed by each worker."
